Here is a video of cars playing soccer. It looks pretty fun. They should make it an official sport!
If you didn’t know already: IE does not display this site correctly, due to web standards. Most importantly IE is susceptible to viruses, and spyware; due to Microsoft’s inability to patch it’s own browser in a timely manner. So I highly recommend, a safe, more standards compliant browser such as Mozilla Firefox.
Cars playing soccer!
March 24th, 2006Awsome tuned Mercedes CLS!
March 24th, 2006Does Detroit hate America?
March 20th, 2006Here’s an interesting article titled, “Does Detroit hate America?”
The article questions why American auto makers are consistantly rebadging european models and selling them as “American” cars. No wonder American auto makers are not doing well. They are selling cars that are tailored for Europeans, and not Americans.
I agree with the article. American cars have lost their distinctive style the past few decades. And it’s funny that the only company that is still making American flavored cars is Daimler Chrysler, a company that is half German.
BRING BACK THE AMERICAN MUSCLE CARS!
350z is gonna be a movie star!
March 20th, 2006
It looks like the upcoming The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift will feature some 350z! In the pictures above, there’s 5 of them. From the trailers, it looks like the main 350z will be this one…

It’s probably going to be another lame movie, but I am huge sucker for movies that have cool cars in it.
Firefox memory leak?…
March 20th, 2006I left my computer on at work over the weekend and Firefox claimed over 600M of memory! EEEK!!!
Will IE 7 be better than Firefox?
I am going to ABC.com!
March 18th, 2006For those of you that have not heard yet, I AM GOING TO ABC.COM!
I have not gotten the official paper yet, but everything have been verbally confirmed. And apparently, I don’t sign a thing since this is more of an internal transfer than a new job. The pay is set. The position is set. And the date is set. I start there on 4/4. That leaves me 2 weeks and a day left at WDPRO.
The remaining weeks at WDPRO will be busy. I’ll spend half my time wrapping up my current project. I don’t really want to ditch my tech PM in the middle of the project, but I don’t really want to stick around for 2 monthes. I think the project will do fine without me. The other half of the time will probably involve people sucking knowledge outta my brain.
Stay tuned for my review of ABC.com in two weeks…
I swam, again!
March 18th, 2006Twice in 1 week! AMAZING!
My bum ankle has kept me from running this week, so I’ve been swimming to make sure I stay in shape (relatively). This is the beauty of training for a triathlon. It’s really hard to get an injury that can stop you from training completely.
Today, I did 1200m non-stop (48 laps)! I didn’t start running out of juice until lap 40. I cranked out the last few laps just to get to a nice round number.
I am not a fast swimmer. I am faster than the guys that just go for a few laps, but most of the guys that do laps are faster than me. It took me a few monthes of going 3 times a week to become a “distance” swimmer. I am so glad I didn’t lose that ability.
Tomorrow, I think I’ll get some biking in to give my ankle a bit more time to heal.
Oh, almost forgot to mention something. I’ve never gone to the Cerritos pool on a weekend before. I’ve always gone around 7am on a weekday. Man, there are a lot more people on the weekend. There are tons of kiddies taking lessons. And in the deeper end, there are people doing some syncronized swimming. I could hear the music in the water! How cool!
Anyway, that’s all. GO ME!
I swam!
March 16th, 2006My left ankle has been feeling a bit funny since my 3 mile run on Tuesday, so to prevent from making it worse, I swam instead of jogged today. Today is the first time I swam since the triathlon in September. I did much better than what I expected. I did 800m (that’s 32 25m laps for those that are not familiar with swimming distances) without stopping!
I wasn’t too concerned with the time. I was just happy I did it without stopping. I guess the running has kept me in decent cardio shape. My arms were getting tired after 250m, but I was able to tweek my technique a bit to save my arms and finish the 800. It feels nice to get a bit of upper body workout in. WOOO! GO ME!
Awsome business idea!
March 15th, 2006What if there is a website that serves as a central picture database where…
- photographers can post their images for sale
- people can look for images to use
Photographers won’t have to have an employer give them an assignment. They can take pictures of whatever they want, whenever they want. They would definitely love the creative freedom.
Employers don’t have to wait for an photographer to go take pictures. They would have a huge collection of pictures to pick from.
…too bad I am WAY too late in the game.
There are a few powerhouses in this field already, namely Getty Images and Corbis. Kudos to whoever came up with the idea though.
3 mile morning jog…
March 14th, 2006I am so bad. I have not ran or excersized at all so far in the month of March. The last time I jogged (before today) was 2/25.
I really need to get focused if I want to improve my time in the Malibu Nautica Triathlon this year. I am thinking about signing up for the Carpe Diem Santa Monica Classic 10k on 4/30 to keep me focused. Anyway, here’s the stats from today’s jog…
- Total Time: 0h 34min 50s
- Distance: 3 mi
- Heart rate avg: 89% / 173 bpm
- Heart rate max: 99% / 192 bpm
- Calories (burned): 520 Kcal
- Speed avg: 5.2 mi/h
- Speed max: 7.6 mi/h
- Pace avg: 11min 32s/mi
- Pace max: 7min 54s/mi
I actually started out pretty good. I was consistantly in the 8-9min/mi pace, but I just couldn’t keep it up. Not even 1 mile in, I had to start walking.
That’s what I get for being so lazy through out winter I guess.
Another thing occurred to me as well. I NEED TO LOSE SOME WEIGHT! I’ve gained 10 pounds since the triathlon in September. No wonder it’s hard to run. It’s like running with 10 pound weights tied around you! I am sure once I get lighter, my pace will pick up again, and maybe I’ll have less foot/knee pains. GO ME!
